I was just telling Dave yesterday that I felt like the waters of life’s circumstances were about to overtake me and I was struggling to keep them from sweeping me away to oblivion.
This morning in my Freedom study, I read Ezekiel 47:1-12. The Lord is leading him to deeper waters until he reaches a part of the river that is too deep for him to keep his feet firmly on the bottom. At the banks of the river at this point, it is teeming with life – fruit trees bearing fruit year round and life in the waters.
I realized after studying this that I can be in the deep waters and surrender completely to God because this is where He meets us with his healing, amazing blessings, and goodness. Fighting for control for decades led me to burnout, anxiety, and a failed suicide attempt.
It’s time to let go of control, trust God completely, and flow with the current, trusting that where God is taking me is good. This is where I will heal and truly live!
